Dan Marks, M.Ed, is a certified personal trainer, Advanced MELT Instructor, MVP Kettlebell Instructor, Crossfit Level 1 Trainer, and Licensed Massage Therapist (NY) living and working in Manhattan.
Over his 20-year fitness career, Dan has evolved a unique system – assessment based functional exercise – that dramatically improves client outcomes ranging from general fitness to relief of common pains to body shaping to health risk reduction to elite sport performance.
His work has benefited numerous clients including those who want to:
- lose weight
- get rid of back pain
- counter the effects of aging
- be stronger
- recover from injury or trauma
- feel energized
- and generally kick more butt in life!
Dan’s passion was kindled on the ball fields and wrestling mats of Villa Park, Illinois, where he experienced “meaning in movement”, a subject he later returned to in graduate school with a culminating paper titled, “Quasi-Religious Experience in Sport”.
His continuous quest for fitness and teaching expertise began at the University of Missouri – Columbia where he obtained an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Human Performance/Exercise Science. An avid fan of the visual and performing arts, Dan makes the most of what New York has to offer.
